  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Shut up and shoot that RED (NSFW)

Really dig ths model...

Most are straigt out of RCX/Preview.

Lastone is out of lightroom.

As to controlling noise, the order of operations is of some importance, whatever apps you use.
Order of things matter more than tool...

Ok. I might get a stick in my head for this, but...
As to skintones. Be carefull with your raw white-balancing. The balancing affects how the channels behave (which makes sense), but try to learn exactly what happens when you pull that temperature slider, or use the pipette.

IMHO (and not an advice I suggest you follow without testing...)
Rcx/metagrading is not the best of tool for some types of rgb treatment. I actually find Preview (on osx) to do some operations betyer, let alone tools like photoshop, nuke, shake, lightroom or resolve.

If you want to get good skintones, you need a smooth rgb channels which are neither gained nor clamped.

Find out what happens in each channel when you pull the iso and WB settings, and my guess is that you'll find good workflows for colortreatment...

Woke up to this post.

Amazing work....as usual :)

I like a lot of these - but some... not up to standard. Anyway. I much prefer natural nudity over glamour (too stylized) or pornography (too heavy handed). I never liked either. So you have the right idea there.

Warning: Political comment to follow. While some are complaining, some are creating. I'd rather be doing the latter. Wouldn't you?

Thanks Karim.

Actually I don't mind comments of which you do not like and why...

This is "work in progress". SOme will be very explicit. Some will be very innocent. Hopefully it will be an exhibition in the end, but it is still taking shape, and all kind of reflections are good (even when they make me do the exact oposite of what I am adviced...)

I listen...

Thanks anyway!

I just love this thread. Improvising, playing around with the camera and RCX and so on, trying to "break" the images... I actually think that that is the best way of really exploring the camera and what it can do. Just makes me want to go out and shoot a lot more stuff.
