hi all...

What is the difference between Epic-M and Epic-X? :confused5:

Best Regards.

There used to be more differences in warranty and upgrade path, but now it is only the former (2 years instead of 'just' 1) and how the casing is produced. So from a practical viewpoint, the main difference is the price tag, though I'm sure M owners will disagree.

I think the M is machined and X is cast also priority first to upgrade ?

Though no one says so, I think the original M's got choice parts. The pick of the litter so to say.

Well the only cameras being made at the time were M's. Looking forward to being invited to upgrade to Dragon!

Correct, except for the last part. The Ms that came out before the Xs have priority but now it's according to when they are bought. Also as stated earlier the Ms have a longer warranty. All in all the Ms are like the "hand made" version and the Xs are the "mass produced assembly line" version, if you will.

No one points the obvious. One is spelled with an M the other with an X. Hello!

 sorry could not resist to make that joke.

I just purchased two M's and when i asked what the differences were I was told the M is kind of considered a collectors item....no really...that was the response....cause you know...you buy a camera like this because you want it to be a collectors item...I was floored...then promptly wrote a check for two M's....WTF is wrong with me.....all kidding aside I only got the M's to jump the line for Dragon upgrades otherwise it seems like a waste of money.
