Tears In The Rain - Blade Runner Short Fan Film

Wow, just looking at that picture reminds me of some Vangelis-esque music like Michiel van Erp's trubute to the maestro.

What lenses did you use?

nice picture but I hate when people post PICTURES ONLY. Maybe you could wait to tease us until you have a trailer or some shots to share?

I have seen this movie ...Brilliant

Hi Christopher,

I'm busy with writing a short movie (although there is a lot of writing still to be done, and only at the end we will see how 'short' it really is...) that is set in a very comparable world, in terms of look and design.
Story has nothing to do with Blade Runner, though, although the productions design and lighting of Blade Runner is a huge influence.

I would be very interested in hearing how you guys are dealing with the VFX, the workflow you are having, which elements are computer generated (the backgrounds... where do you get those from? self-made? ,...) and etc. Maybe I can PM you with more questions?

It would be great to hear some tips to know that IF we get to the shooting, to have some advice and experiences in the back of the head.

Also: great title!

Your lighting in those frames looks awesome. Looking forward to the short.

Hi all,

Tears In The Rain is a short film tribute to the 1982 classic SF film Blade Runner, shot on the Red One MX. It is still in post and I hope to have a teaser out soon. Here is a link to the Facebook page, and the website. There is more information there and some photos.

The budget was next to nothing and we had a lot of help making this in a very very very short space of time, so thanks to all who helped out!

I am keen on some feedback... I have a ROUGH work-print minus original music, sound effects, CGI etc... I just looking for general feedback on the film in terms of story, production value etc. The film is 12 minutes long.

PM me for a link.
