Red Rocket in a hackintosh drivers?

i have a hackintosh running with z77x-up5 th.
however my red rocket drivers fail to install.
basically get: install failed at the end.

has anyone been able to install RR drivers successfully?

if i just put RCX and launch it, it sees my RR and gives me a warning that it sees it as a x4 card (its in x8 slot)

RR works perfect on my mac pro.

any advise?

Are you running mountain lion?

I'm running 10.8.1 ML

make sure your permissions are dialed in for a ML setup.

The upside is if RCX detects the rocket it means it's working.

I've been getting excellent performance from this same board, and the rocket - I think it relates to the CPU's handling of PCI-E lane assignment. Try flopping the RR to your x16 slot, and your video card to your x8 slot - see if that makes any difference.

what do u mean by permissions? is it the security setting allowing installs from any developer? (i have this turned on).
