So I was on B&H about to order a set of Schneider NDs when I noticed Cavision NDs... They are literally a 1/3 of the price per piece.

Has anyone had any experience with these on a Red One or Epic? I heard they are good for 1080p, but not sure about 4k...

Im looking into 4x5.65's, so if anyone has had experience and could give me some feed back, that would be great.

I was actually talking to CaVision a couple weeks ago and they said that there was a difference. Schneider and Tiffen use super high quality glass that has the filter mixed in with the glass.

CaVision is more like a coating that they do here in Vancouver. They're a good quality company though and I would generally trust their products.

Does anyone know if you could tell the difference?

My experience with them... They are crap!

Several have separated.

Save your money and get quality filters.
They can often be purchased used for great savings.

I bought some and ended throwing them in the trash in anger. total crap. do not buy.

Yea, I ended up buying the stuff I trust.

Even though they are more expensive, quality over quantity.

Good quality filters will last a lifetime if taken care of.
You made the right choice.

I know this thread is a bit old, but thought I'd post this just for folks researching this question...
I've had some pretty bad luck with the Cavision Pola and ND filters on the Red... huge color shifts and very soft images that degrade into absolutely horrible images at longer focal lengths and higher ND strengths. I'd honestly think it was a defective batch if all of my Cavision filters didn't do the exact same thing!!!

Would you recommend buying a set of individual ND filters, like a .9 a 1.2 etc. or something like the Schneider 5.65x5.65 Combo Graduated Neutral Density 0.6-1.2 [FONT=Arial, sans-serif]
