  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Would anyone be willing to share/trade/sell a 5-8 second clip of big, nasty thunderstorm clouds in 4k or 5k? Doesn't have to have lightning or anything, just menacing clouds. I've been waiting for months to shoot something like this but we haven't had any big storms here lately, and I need it for a project ASAP!

Message me and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks!

Joseph

Mark, yes actually I've seen their stock and its pretty decent.

Todd, thanks for the videos, but Im thinking really dark, menacing thunderstorm clouds full-screen. I appreciate you posting those tho!

thanks Mark - I pointed Joseph to several galleries that should be close to filling his requirements.

But for those of you that'd like to see a THUNDER/Lightning Storm (4K timelapse - Switzerland) - the intro to the MammothHD 2012 demo/show reel works pretty well

The MammothHD 2012 Demo/Show reel is here (http://www.mammothhd.com/2012/)

thats good stuff clark...

i got some at 96fps of lightning...
that is one area where rolling shutter can bite you in the ass....

some of my lightning is good...nice slow-mo of the beam developing...but on a lot of them...the top 1/2 the clouds are lit and the bottom dark

Well I live in Tampa Bay, supposedly lightning capital of the world. Our stormy season is winding down, but if there is one this weekend, with good stormy clouds, I'll try and get a few seconds. I'm assuming you want clouds only, i.e. no horizon visible?
