  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Film Vs. Digital as seen by the regular population

Damn, that was cool! Nice simple story that was executed quite well. What was it shot on? Would be ironic if it was recorded digitally :) I guess its already ironic that I watched it over the internet on my laptop. Thanks for sharing Domenic.

Very nice! And although Revolution, the new TV series is kind of botching the intriguing concept, we are doing exactly what is being portrayed here in this film. Our memories are being digitized, potentially weakening our analog system (the brain) and if/when that day comes that the power goes out (anyone here doubt it's a very real possibility) we are in for a rather interesting situation. We have become so dependent on our electricity and as an extension of that the devices that plug in to the grid that having it shut down seems unthinkable. We've already had some close calls. Hopefully we don't ever have to find out what it would be like to go back to pre-power days.

Anyway, effective short film. Congrats to the filmmaker and his cast.

Yes... and no. I know people who live very happily off-grid. You can do a LOT on decent solar panels and a few deep-cycle batteries. Don't assume it's a choice between grid & total darkness.
