Hi Everyone,

Im having trouble being able to update my redmote to the newest Firmware update to be able to use it with scarlet and the latest firmware...
I tried REDmote upgrade utility even disconnecting the wlan as everyone mentioned but it still doesnt work...

Any idea what to do? I need it asap!!

thanks a lot!

If your on MAC, open up network preference.... you should have a device labeled as RNDIS/...Gadget. Make sure that your "Configure IPv4" is set to "Manually" then the "IP Address" to "192.168.0.1" then the "Subnet Mask" to "255.255.255.0" (disregard the actual "", just use the numbers).

I've also found that on some computers I will end up getting multiple RNDIS/...Gadgets. Make sure you only have one of these devices listed.

And sometimes I've also seen that it helps if the REDMote is OFF when I plug in the USB cable....

Hope this all helps you out.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your help, but I tried that out too and didnt work...is there a different redmote upgrade programme to use? system preferences sees the redmote but the programm isnt able to connect to it...no idea why...

Did you try the onboard REDmote upgrade; with the 3.3.12 camera upgrade? Mine failed (quickly) first try, then worked fine.

Are u using the ne MacBookPro ? There are issues connecting to the Redmote with the new retina macs

Send a support ticket to Red to make them aware of
