I'm a new convert to Premiere after experiencing it's abilities to work with R3D files natively. The workflow is going smoothly, but I 'm having an issue when bouncing between REDCINE-X and Premiere for color correction. Premiere is seeing the updated RMD files, but the color isn't matching. I notice that REDcolor3 and REDgamma3 are not an option in my CS 6.0.1 clip source settings dialog box. Perhaps I didn't install the .bundle file for the Epic importer in the proper location? /Applications/Adobe Premiere Pro CS6/Configuration

Here is the discrepancy I'm seeing.

RED Epic, 5K 23.976
Premiere CS 6.0.1
REDCINE-X Pro 15
OS X 10.7.4

Did I install the .bundle in the correct directory though? I thought I did, but after restarting Premiere I don't have the option still. Checked Adobe Labs site for a specific directory, but it just says to refer to release notes which says to refer to the documentation that points me back to release notes, haha.

Thanks Bob. I was missing the part where you have to "Show Package Contents" of the Premiere app then place the .bundle in .../Contents/Plug-Ins/Common.

Still not seeing v3 options though...

Did not. Wasn't sure where "ImporterREDServer.app" went.

As in the PDF:

ImporterREDServer.app
Applications/Adobe Premiere ProCS6/AdobePremierePro CS6.app/Contents/

ImporterRED.bundle
Applications/AdobePremiere Pro CS6/Adobe PremierePro CS6.app/Contents/Plug‐ins/Common/

Apologies Bob. This is what I get for working fast and trying to learn the RED/Premiere workflow on the fly. I didn't scroll all the way down that PDF, and after seeing the blank space on page two I assumed it was the end of the doc. Once I moved ImporterREDServer.app into the proper directory it works like a charm.

It turns out that PDF goes into quite a bit of detail. Thanks for your patience and reminding me to get more sleep. :)

Keep in mind Andrew, that when you update any of the CS6 products that use the RED Import plugins, you will usually have to replace the plugins again as well. I just had to do this for the 6.0.2 update.

Thanks Stivan. Should be a painless process this next time around, haha.
