  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Redcine-X ver15 issues

Is anyone having problems with clip burn in and not naming properly as well as when saving to a location on your hard drive, it is not saved to that location as well as sometimes renamed? These are issues i'm having at moment.

Johnnny,
Can you please email redcinex at red dot com with your duplication (which metadata fields you are seeing failing, etc....) and we'll see if we can duplicate the issue here? Thanks.

Yes, Johnny, I "am" having issues with that. Namely in saving an altered clip to a specific location. Sometimes it just won't do it. I did not have this problem with the original version of RedCineX that I got over a year ago.

I have no idea what to do about it.

Armen,
So i go to export a clip and leave the field Ask for Output name: i go to export and up comes the box asking me where to export it to...I choose a folder and it never goes to that folder--it goes one folder above it and then sometimes if for example it is to my desktop...it will rename the file: desktopA008_C001....... have no idea why it names it desktop--but not on every export...

yup - seen this - was brought up on another thread a week or so back. It's naming the export with the "location" of the specified folder and dumping it in the folder or drive that is above it in the addressing.

Well, at least it's a known issue....and not my RR card or computer. One has to have a computer science degree now to shoot digital cameras.

Johnny, Clark & George,
I was able to duplicate this issue you are seeing with build 15. It looks to have been fixed with subsequent test releases I've been working on and should be rolled out in the next public release/beta. Thanks.
