  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am running RedCineX v.14 on a Windows7 PC.

In the past I have been able to trim off the front or back of a clip, then export it to a file of my choosing.

Now, all of a sudden, the trim will NOT export.

I don't know this RedCineX program as well as those of you who have been using it for years and years, so I'm asking if there is something you think I am doing wrong, or possibly a step I am missing.

Would you be kind enough to walk me through the steps, one at a time, from trimming to exporting to another file ?

Thanks for your time.

Open RCX
Open a clip
Scrub to a point and set an in point (far left button on viewer)
Scrub to another point and set an out point (far right button on viewer)
Grade clip
Select export tab on the bottom
Select Clip in viewer (since that's where it is; if you had several clips on the timeline or in the project panel you would select the corresponding location of them).
Select your template; create one first if you haven't yet.
Click export and watch the entry be added and process in the export panel.

This and much more should be in the manual which you can find in the installation directory, or by selecting Help, Redcine-x manual.
