  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Trillion frames per second

Fascinating! Thanks for sharing.

"We should stop obsessing about the megapixels in cameras and start focusing on the next dimension in imaging. IT'S about time." Great quote.

Absolutely, I love the comment, "It would take a year to watch a normal bullet go through the bottle".

The circle is complete -- capture still, capture motion, then capture so much motion it's essentially back to still.

So we already have dataminig now somebody please develop picture mining technology :D

Although, this thing can't really shoot a bullet going through a bottle.

It works more like how some people shoot droplets falling into water.

Repeatedly taking the same shot with increasing intervals of a repeatable event.

Perhaps the point is being missed.

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second. This amazing technological breakthrough is about being able to photograph the movement of LIGHT. This could lead to all kinds of scientific breakthroughs and perhaps solve the world's energy crisis!

It's important for us in the video community to have more Megapixels at this point in time, even though in the scientific community it may not be.

Not necessarily, the next generation of motion picture cameras are likely to be lightwave or whatever they're calling it. DOP, focus and other elements all set in post!
