Finding a Shoulder rig that can offer true balance, low center of gravity and lots of room for accessories and comfort is hard to find...

This setup uses a DSLR for close-in shots and the FS-700 for wide... myself I would use 2 DSLR's...

Neat rig. The problem is, that's a lot of weight no matter how you center it - and it looks tiring. Especially adding all that extra metal too.

To me, EASYRIG is the *best* hand held setup for RED ONE because it actually takes the weight off in such a way that you can be holding the camera for 1hr+ and not be tired !!

I've tried other rigs, well balanced ones, like ET mantis, and they are good but I get tired too fast - after minutes. And always afraid camera might fall off. EASYRIG locks the camera on the tension rod so it can never just "fall off."

Just my experience :-)

We love our EasyRig for the One. It's an amazing piece of kit. We'll shoot hand-held for hours using it. We'll, I don't, but my cameramen do.

you actually dont see the lcd... it so well balanced I can actually let go... and pull focus with my bare hands...

yeah... I guess the time I spent in the military influenced me a lot.... can you tell...I know i could probably fit a machine gun on this...lolll

well I can assure you, this rig is a lot lighter than it looks... I used other shoulder rigs and yes it was minutes... so now, i can honestly tell you I shoot whole days with whatever camera I put on there and I shoot for hours...

In my humble opinion, the RED ONE in your picture sits too tall on one's shoulder. I prefer to have the camera lower...almost at shoulder's length. Now on the DSLR picture it sits perfectly flush with one's shoulder.

I saw your picture and I also saw the video and it seems to me that in both you have you head cocked to the left...pulling away from the rig. Is the rig to wide on the shoulders for one to comfortably have their head straight the whole time?

I would get a neck strain if I were standing in that position for hours.

One thing I love is the design. My main beef with rigs is that most seem to lack any design element at all...just a couple of clamps and rods

Nice rig overall....

HI Coco, actually I have worked with other rigs where the camera sat up on a brigde-plate and a dove tail... its hard to configure a rig with a camera so bulky... but from personal experience I would rather it sits up like a full bodied camera like a Sony f900 than support the full weight of the camera for only a few minutes at a time. Its true in both pictures they are looking off to one side. One of the nice things about this rig is its how many adjustments to individualize each setup... thank you for your feed back, I read and understand everything you guys tell me. That's kinda why I got this far...

Thanks again

Eric

I use my cinemecanix Pro-rig, due to the fact I can mount any camera I want and be fully balanced...

The Zacuto scorpion is 14 lbs and the C1 pro-Rig is only 12lbs...

I weighted the easy rig and your carrying close to 17 pounds... the C1 Pro-Rig is all aluminium and only weights 12 lbs
