So in absence of a RED C-Mount. Does anyone know of the flange distances jive enough that I can do a C-Mount to EF adapter, and bolt on some nice C Mount wides for use with my crop-factoring Scarlet at 2k or so?

What he means is that a c-mount lens would end up ramming into the Epic OLFP way before you'd see focused image. The “flange focal distance” is 17.52mm (0.69 inches). This distance is measured from the lens mounting plane (i.e. the rear surface of the lens which butts up against the camera) to the focal plane (i.e. the plane of the film or sensor). The C-Mount standard also defines the thread length as being 3.8mm.
