I've loved using my Red Bricks with my Epic, in my case through the Viewfactor V-mount. But with my Pro I/O arriving today, I face again the issue of how to power the camera. The Viewfactor won't attach to the back of the Pro I/O, right? What are other users of V-mounts and Anton-Bauers doing if they also want to use the I/O or other DSMC modules?

I would say put it on rods with something like this. I'm sure there are plenty of other options like that.

Do you know for sure that it won't attach to the back of the Pro I/O Module? I thought with modules, you would just move the battery plates back.

Or just order the quick back from wooden camera

The WC quickback needs the 4 screws for optimal safety- at least one person had their camera damaged by letting the entire weight of the battery rest with the redmote attachment point. The issue here is that the modules don't have the screw holes, so you'd need an adapter from the module locking mechanism (tongue and locking pins) to either holes for the M4 screws or an integrated mount for the VF APU.

There will be at least one solution from RED:
They are working on an adapter plate from module back to backpack.
And I'm about to talk Jarred into creating a DSMC quickplate module (here)

I started a new thread for this. Please add your vote if you're interested!
