I'm looking to attach a red brick to the back of my epic and about ready to pull the trigger on CinemaOxides battery plate adapter. However I see a lot of people talking about WC's quick plate adapter. All together the Quick plate is more expensive, and as soon as you place the screws in it becomes not very "quick", making the CO model look like the better value.

Anyone have experience, suggestions, advice? Are you using a different model?

Thanks! :D

I have the quickplate + AB plate with Dionic HC's (without the screws) and I love it. Used it this entire season on "Louie," two cameras, never a problem with stability...even had a camwave sandwiched in there sometimes and still never a problem with it coming off. It's also nice to know you could reconfigure placement of the battery/quickplate using a VF shuttle or Red V-lock if you need to put it elsewhere. Furthermore, Ryan has been a great individual to deal with, always quick to respond and ship.

That said, I've heard good things about Jason and CinemaOxide...if you're content with a fixed solution, you can save the dough. But considering how modular and configurable the Epic can be, why not use solutions that can be used in different ways too?

My two cents...hope it helps.

Best,
Clint

I'm using the Wooden Camera Quick Back and love it. Have never put the M4 screws in as I think its really only for very heavy loads...I don't consider a RED brick to be that heavy. I don't know anything about CinemaOxide. But I know Wooden Camera ships super fast and have always been very happy with the service and products I get from them.

Our MG1 V-mount Pro plate is super cool. I like the fact we can upgrade the Lemo cable assembly in the future. No other V-mount battery plate on the market offers that.
The Pro plate is easy to remove off and on.

WC & CineO both have great reviews so I don't think you'll go wrong any where you choose. Another option.

The cinema Oxide bracket is a decent solution. It's well made and the additional 3/8 and 1/4 holes are a nice touch. You just don't get the quick swap feature if that is what you are looking for.

+1 on that...
