  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC / SCARLET Firmware 3.3

... didn't test it yet, but seems leo in the menu, both hdmi and hd sdi out at the same time!

Yes, this build enables simultaneous LCD/EVF (default MENUS), HDMI (default PREVIEW) and HD-SDI (default PROGRAM / Clean Feed) from the Brain, plus three additional feeds from the PRO I/O, for a total of six outputs.

seriously !!!!! you should write it bigger in the new features !

Now, we can use HDMI for wireless and still have our 5" in SDi :) I'm a happy customer.

Does this apply to the Scarlet as well?

Sean as in McHugh? than I would know what you look like.... Damn you're a fast talker! Rapid cut! But I like it. And then there's always a pause button ;) maybe that's what I would need on phone calls .... Hehehe. ;)

By the way, did I mention I love the info videos? Great job Sean!

Sean as in Ruggeri :) but Sean Mchugh was in the room as we shot this. I knew I had to move fast on this one as there was so much to cover in this progressive build and I wanted to say a lot in a small amount of time. But I promise to slow down my cadence in the future, if/when the content allows for it...

Wait, wait, wait... Really ?! That's awesome ! Been waiting for simultaneous HDMI - HDSDI on the brain for a long time.
Audio playback is great news too !

I have to say I'm surprised and extremely happy with this. I just tested on my Scarlet and it works!. The reason I'm surprised is that I was told by a RED rep at NAB that simultaneous HDMI and SDI would never happen on the Scarlet, because of hardware limitations. this makes it so much more useful. And I had relented to the fact that it would never come. Thank you!

Strange. I was told at NAB that it would happen. And viola! Here it is!

i test tomorrow in my Epic;)

thanks RED TEAM :)
AMAZING...

Had a crash on 3.3 with Epic-M during assignment of keys. The monitor started to behave erratically and pop-up menu said to send a log. Turned it off and on and now is fine. Where do I attach the log file? I went here: http://www.red.com/contact_us and couldn't find how to attach.
