Sorry if this has been covered but I haven't found a link where it solves the problem.

I basically found the link on here of how to hook up a Rode mic with adapter to work through the mic 1&2 inputs on the scarlet...in my case a sennheiser mke400

When my headphones are plugged in the scarlet...i can hear the mic picking up what i need and it sounds fine...just need it for reference audio

My problem is...when transferring the r3d files or checking back in redcinex...there is no audio, no audio timeline etc

I am using FCP7 and a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5...still no audio

would love some help on this and to avoid busting out my H4N for every bit of audio i may need

Daniel ;)

Hi Daniel,

have you tried installing the new RedImporter for Adobe Premiere? It is supposed to have audio playback.

Just curious. try spitting out a quicktime from redcine. I had a strange instance when I couldn't hear the audio in RCP, but I could in the quicktime. After installing an earlier build of RCP, it began to work. Then I went back to the latest build and it began to work.

thanks for the reply guys

yep got the new red importer ...still no audio

also tried exporting a quicktime file (first thing i did) ha

im also trying to make sure that even though I'm hearing audio through the scarlet that its reading it properly...as in waveforms on the touch screen
but i can't seem to find the audio wave form on the screen?

wait... so you don't see the audio levels meter active on the screen?

thats the weird thing...the audio meters pop up on the screen for like a second
so even though i can hear audio, I'm not sure if its getting to the scarlet ok due to the audio meters not showing up

Are you undercranking? I remember the audio meter flashing by like that and then disappearing when I was shooting 5K/12 fps.

I know people hate when people bring back old threads but was this issue ever solved? Having the same issue with an important project I shot... Could hear audio during recording, no audio in red cine x even after export.

Tried all types of different players and audio was not there. When looking at the wave form it was flat.

Yeah, that it because it is FLAT dude. Do not believe that just because you see a signal on the camera that your camera will record it. Did you lift those audio level INPUTS you see on your Scarlet audio input menus yet? I did the same thing on my tests and more so don't blame yourself. Love the PDF instructions that do not yet exist! Good luck and GOD SPEED!

is your timebase and your frame frate equal?
