  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

APPLE... Here we go.

kind of funny! Apple demos 2.8k display, with Blackmagic 2.5k camera via thunderbolt.

I'm wondering if the audio industry is equally disappointed. When I was working as an audio engineer 10 years ago, Mac Pro Towers had more or less just been established and people built their studios around it. Sure, audio is not as demanding as video editing but still you'd like to get up-to-date hardware for your money. Desktopwise Apple is so yesterday!

Sad Day. O well.. I guess none of us really should be all that surprised.

The new HPs with RED STATIONS kick ass.. ill post some info about those tomorrow. HP is really stepping up with ADOBE to take care of the professional.. good for everyone. As for Laptop.. right now I am using a Samsung 17" Chronos and it is one of the best laptops I have ever had. I just wish windows didn't suck so bad. Hopefully Windows 8 will fix that :)

Windows is to computers what Canon is to movie cameras

ha ha funny. But I wouldn't really go that far... at least when you are in which ever program you are using ( after effects, REDCINE-X PRO, Photoshop, etc... ) they all work the same, just PC's are much faster now adays.. Just getting there is the problem, the usability of windows still needs a ton of work.

I'm mainly an OSX guy, buy once I spent the time to turn off all the extra crap in Win7...it's pretty damn good. Way better than Lion, which has been an unstable mess for me since day one. Hoping Mountain Lion is a return to form for OSX.

So Apple won some pat. pending battles, but he is loosing lots of clients anyway... :badputer:

Btw if they show how amazing is the new MacBook Pro with Retina display for photographers is this LCD showing real 8 bit colors or just 6 bit like all others laptops?

support linux. If OS X isn't a OS for media pros anymore then Linux needs to be supported for those that need a powerful UNIX type OS to get work done. Red OS?
