  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Does Premiere CS5.5 support RedGamma3, or can we only get this with CS6?

I need some guidance here. It really stinks to use Redcine X with the gorgeous RedGamma3 and then not being able to see that first light grade in your Premiere Pro 5.5 timeline.

Grateful if anyone can share their experience with this issue. Is there a plug-in for CS5.5 that addresses this?

Many thanks

Antonio

Did you install the most recent update to EPIC Importer? I believe it supports RG3/RC3 in 5.5, but I am not 100% sure as I haven't tried it personally.

Yes, the RedColor3/RedGamm3 functionality requires the Labs importer for CS6.

Can I get the sharpenning tool from RCX- P, in PP CS5.5, or CS6? Thanks.

I've bought CS6 but can only see REDGamma 2 etc in the source settings menu in Premiere. SO I downloaded the EPIC installer and it says that the import.app is an older version. Is this correct? I installed CS6 including the latest updates about a week ago.

I think the adobe cs6 and the automated patches for some reason are not up to date with the red rg3 installer, for example after I manually installed the rg3 patches ... a week later when there was a large premier/ae patch ... the rg3 patches got overwritten (so I have to manually install rg3 patches again). Would be nice for the rg3 patches to be standard with the CS6, they work perfectly for me.

Hey Justin,

There's no need to worry about that. Just replace whatever is installed with the files you downloaded. It does work; I did it today after getting the same message as you. Patrick is probably right though, they probably get overwritten by other patches. I'm sure they'll fix that soon enough if that's the case.
