Just want to make sure I'm turning the Epic on and off correctly... took my like 3 times holding down the record button to get the camera to finally turn on after I changed LCD cables (the old LCD cable should work with the Epic and touch LCD right?).

To turn the Epic back off, do I hold the record button down again..?

Thanks!

Figured out my issues on my own :)

I think it's recommended that you use the power menu to actually select a shutdown procedure, especially if you are running on battery power. IIRC, doing a hard shutdown with the side button uses a lot more power than going through the menu. Someone else correct me if I'm misremembering.

You can also use the touchscreen and there touch the battery status as a short cut.
