When you switch into 2k 16:9 and hit the "zoom in" button The red x and the frame guides appear off center, even though the zoom in Icon and image show that the framing is centered.

Actually since this thread is specifically mentioning the X, could we have the X be something like square brackets [ ] that doesn't actually cover the exact centre of frame? I'm thinking of a focus check using a Siemens Star where the X in magnify mode can sometimes cover the very middle where you are trying to focus on.

Mike, I'm on Build 3.1.2 so can't verify this yet, but have you tried using the joystick to move the magnified image around? Does that move the X position in your frame? Also I notice you're at 2K. Does this problem seem the same at 4K?

This problem is only in 2k, and yes moving the joystick also moves the x and the framelines.

EDIT: Also happening in 3k mode.

Yep,

I found the same thing.

In windowed mode the zoom function is off center.

I just found out that I can hit the "zoom Button" while shooting and the 2X zoom can happen WHILE shooting, whereas in Build 15 it would not. Nor could you maintain a 'zoomed' image on your LCD when hitting the record button, it would default to normal view.
This seems like a potential huge error if you mistakenly re-framed form a zoomed 'focus assist' image while shooting.

Hi guys, I am on a shoot...sticks are LOCKED locked and I really need to be able to move the image zoom around the frame, is this possible??!?!?!? PLEASE help...on set now. cheers.

Sorry, not possible currently. You'll have to use a tape or something to measure focus the old fashioned way.
