So, I downloaded a build 16 clip.
Installed all the new RED software.
The clip will load in REDCINE.
The proxies will play in QuickTime.
But the proxies will not play in FCP.
I get RED renderbars??

Sometime the proxies automatically turn your timeline into a ProRes setting when you drag a clip onto it the first time.

Select your sequence in the bin, right click and then go to SETTINGS. Make sure under the Quicktime Video Settings that the compressor is set to REDCODE not Apple ProRes 422 (HQ). The red bars should go away.

You generally want the sequence to be ProRes, because otherwise you can't render anything. (Since you can't encode to Redcode.) Just makes sure you're in Unlimited RT. You'll get orange bars, but things will play in real-time and you'll be able to render.

When I put any P_clips into the timeline with the ProRes (HQ) setting they always have red bars to be rendered unless I make the sequence REDCODE compressor. You only seem to get the orange bars when using M_clips or higher with ProRes (HQ) setting. Is this the case that if you want to edit P_clips with the ProRes setting you have to render everything?
