Anybody managed to get Decklink output of r3d material in the new CS6?

Been trying but I'm afraid is limited to blackmagic' clips?. What do you use for monitoring your output when working with r3d in premiere pro?

In one of the other adobe threads, someone did post that it's working, I think you only need to make a red 1080p sequence and it should output to the card your r3d clips.

Also bear in mind this isn't the official CS6 trial - so things might change before full release.

I think a lot of people are getting confused by the fact that CS6 doesn't require 3rd party sequences anymore. You still need to get updated CS6 Transmit drivers from your 3rd party card vendor. Most of these are still in beta - you'll need to talk to your card manufacturer.

YEP----i'm on beta for Matrox 3rd party and can tell you that you need to be on Beta to get that firmware or driver update...BUT, remember that the CS6 downloaded as trial does not contain the updates that are out NOW to BETA testers ---it's now at CS 6.01 and Build 007 so if you downloaded CS 6 trial like many have, then you are only on CS 6 and no updates.....but likely this should not affect things like 3rd party drivers for monitoring out....

@Johnny - being on 6.0.1 beta means you're under NDA, so while it's cool that you're stoked about it, please don't talk about things like what dot build version we're currently on, etc.

Thanks!. Already preorder my Cloud subscription. Hope to get it working soon. Decklink monitoring of r3d footage is a must for me.

I am getting RED R3D's out of After Effects CS6 via my Matrox MX02, so at least it is possible under some circumstances to have a live output - no luck with PPro, it has changed monitoring methods too much to work - at least so far!

Maybe the same approach as this might work with the BM hook file too.

Alright, so I've got the release version of CS 6, Desktop Video 9.5.1, checked the BM output box in the playback prefs. No love. Works fine with a BM 1080p Preset, though. Any luck out there?

I just downloaded the latest updates from Adobe and Blackmagic and have the 1080P preset working. I have to scale clips to 50% to view full frame. It's very easy to copy the "motion" video effect and paste to all clips in a sequence. Doesn't seem like a horrible workflow since you can get back to 4K at any time. I haven't run the XML through Davinci yet to see if the 50% resizing stays.

Bump to see if anyone has an updated way to get this working with Premiere Pro CC... I'm able to view via decklink minimonitor on After Effects CC, but no luck with Premiere.

Are there any set of instructions etc., that might help?
