I recommend the full frame lenses, because they are better lenses.
That said, I have yet to have a problem with any APS C lens I've tried.
That includes the aforementioned Tokina 11-16 and the Canon 18-135 EF-S kit lens, which is a pretty junky lens.
I was thinking of the EF-S 17-55mm.
The EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS vignettes heavily at 5K, but not at 4K or 4KHD. It's sharp enough at 4K and 3K for a 2K master. I actually chose the 17-55 over the 16-35 f/2.8 L because I tested them side-by-side and the 16-35L I had for the test was much softer at f/2.8 while both were sharp at f/5.6. Always try before you buy though, as pretty much all Canon lenses tend vary in quality.I was thinking of the EF-S 17-55mm. Any quality issues you know of with that lens?

Thanks everyone for your comments, by the way.
