4K, 3K, 2K Snowboarding on Scarlet-X :30 sec tease

Most ski resorts have shut down this last weekend but some are still trying to get a few last marketing assets before the snow melts. Heavenly Mt Resort had myself, Chris Stamey (Heavenlys Staff video guy) and a still photographer take a cat ride up to their High Roller terrain to shoot some final images of the season. We had a small but bad ass crew of skiers and riders, Nick Poohachoff, Jason Arens and Joanna Dyrzawski (butchered her name).

Here is a just quick 30 second tease of one of the riders:

I'm blown away with how well This camera holds the highlights while retaining info in the shadows. I was really impressed with the 3k & 2K varispeed performance. It is always sad to see what vimeo and other sites do to the vid with their compression

The above pack is the LowePro AW500. It's the only pack I have found that has the depth to keep the camera fully built in the pack. I have used a ton of photo/video bags and the interior of this one is hands down the best. It does lack a good way to attach a tripod....good thing I had an assistant

Super happy with what this cam is producing!!!...not happy about the sun burned forehead i still have because of my lack of sunscreen

How did Redmote hold up? Did you have any connection problems with it?

Is Tokina 11-16 wide enough at 2K?

And what track is that playing?

No issues with the redmote connecting. Just put it to Default and it connects everytime. Its awesome to have convenient wireless control of the cam!

The 1st shot is the tokina at 3k and slightly cropped to level the horizon a bit more. Wide enough?? you just have to change your frame to accommodate the crop or 2 and 3k....but the 11-16 is sooooo much better at the 5k FOV...let's hope RED gives Scarlet 24fps at 5k!
