Filming football yesterday (Soccer for some of you guys).

Direct hit side on wrote off a Canon 16-35 lens which snapped off at the mount.

Not a scratch on the Titanium mount.

So for anyone who is wondering whether to go Aluminium or Titanium that's a thumbs up for Titanium.........

Ouch!! Glad to hear the Epic wasn't damaged, but a lens snapping off at the mount sounds like it could propel some serious pieces of glass/debris inside the mount and possibly even into sensor area. None of that was touched?

I was torn between an Al and Ti Canon mount when we order our Epic, this has just cemented my choice of the Ti =)

Yes- at 100fps. Great look on the keepers face as he tries to reach it and a great tilt and shift effect as the glass snapped off to the right....:)

Just some glass dust on the sensor which I air blasted off so as not to scratch it.
