• Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Redcine, pattern on yellow???

Greg, that I can't duplicate it here with your RMD settings as it, means that it's not colour-space related, but something in the Quicktime export. If you can let us duplicate your export exactly we can see if we can duplicate the issue here.

Wonky Yellow

Wonky Yellow

I have seen the same thing with some yellow lemons on a table. Strangely when I zoomed into the shot and exported to pro res the very saturated lemons and yellow bottle pixellated and went blocky but with no zoom all good. I ended up exporting the zoom shots in redlogfilm successfully. Screenshots of this attached.

Tom, that looks like what Greg is seeing. I'm unable to duplicate the issue here to test further and I need help doing that. I have Greg's images, but whenever I export to Quicktime they look fine, not broken.

Graeme,

It would be a privilege to help. This footage is interesting as it was shot in daylight but with an Wratten 85 filter. Would you like the R3D? The issue only arose when we cropped into the image. Are there any tests I could run?

I can try, I just need the file and enough info to be able to re-create the problem here.

If you use RC-X to clip a single frame, just email it to me.

I have clipped a R3D frame but what email address would your like it sent to? I can't work out how to attach the R3D snapshot using the private message function of reduser?

Greg and/or Tom, we'd like to know what export preset you're using to render the quicktimes.

Could you right-click on the export preset you're using and select "Save preset...", then email the file that generates to redcinex at red dot com?

Thanks,
Grant
