  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello? the WHY thread dissapeared while i was reading??!

The thread started with a brief description of the hamster wheel (sometimes referred to as innovation) one camera manufacturer had devised, which makes the customer run in circles: buy our product, be happy, look we have something better, back to the bank, into the store, aren´t you really, really happy now? but wait, we have something even much better coming out ... Pre-meditated obsolescence of product (read: cash cow) instead of corporate culture .

Sometimes Jim's post are like a freight train in the night... they come roaring through then disappear. That's why it pays to stay up late around here sometimes. :wink5:

He he, I could have not said it better my self Tom, Jim and I are much alike in this respect, difference is that Jim, really does trow some heavy and direct hits, so damage control needs to take place at dawn... ;)

aw man... i missed it. oh well, guess i'll just pick it up via collective consciousness :)

Exactly! I think there are those of us who simply believe that what Jim is saying is true. The facts support it. He is correct about 4K resolution. He's been saying this for years, and other camera companies have been Fing around. Jim changed the game. And I love that he lets it rip from time to time. Lord knows I would be tempted to do the same, in his shoes.

Red is the color most highly charged with emotion. Red is dangerous and provocative. It is passionate. Lawyers gotta do whey they gotta do. (:

Oh oh Martin, you broke it! ;-)

I love it when Jim does this. Makes you feel, just for a brief moment, you got close to the real heart of darkness.

Is this Jarred?

How long does a page have to be up to be cached? I thot it was like 24hrs or so. Bet Jimbo knows ; - )

My guess is the next post from Jim will be "why not?...." when he unleashes the
NAB goodies.....well, we can always dream :)

WHY... do we need so many threads on this same topic?

And Jim responded here.
