  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Epic and Scarlet accessories + xlr adaptors

Interesting !

What is the length of the cable ?
Can we mount both inputs on the same side next to each others in some other configurations ?

Will the cables carry phantom power whenever it gets enabled? Also, how tight/strong is the XLR end held in the cradle?

Seems like a really clean & compact design.

If i may offer a simple critique...As a camera asst for a good 15yrs i personally would hate Sound gack in my face thats any of their stuff...boxes connectors cables etc...best to design sound guys S&*9
on the dummy side of the camera...just saying!

Wasn't this exact thread posted last week? Also, it might be more appropriate to move this thread to the accessories section than in the Scarlet section, as this seems to have become a place for everyone to dump every sort of thread because they want it seen. In the future, accessory posts in the accessory section would be much appreciated from the standpoint of someone who goes to each section for specific information...

Ian and Vita, I assume you both work for the company that makes these... would be really helpful to disclose that in your signature line and/or avatar so as not to cause confusion. The original post by Vita makes it sound like a customer "hey, check these out" when it's really "check out OUR products"

Just a few friendly suggestions...

Damn, just when I wanted to order some XLR accs everything got pulled and I didn't bookmark the link...

Ban hammered.

I'm not going to support a company that doesn't follow the forum rules!

I've been considering a top plate, but have been reluctant because of concerns about the RF interence for the Redmote. The rental house that I broker through referred me to these guys, who turns out are in my "neighborhood". I'll pick up a set from them today (since I can drive down), and will post in a day or two after I've had a chance to put it all on the camera and give it a go. I do like the potential XLR mounting options though... If anyone has any suggestions or questions for things I should look out for when evaluating, let me know.
