Anyone else used it?
I go it a couple of days ago. Havent shot anything with it yet but the test are amazing.
It's full screen on 5kff at around 11mm.
Sharpest wide I saw in a while. It's F 4 but that's not a bad deal for the range you're getting plus it's just 1.5k USD brand new.
I think it's a strong contender for the 11-16 Duclos version. Of course the Cine coating/gear is amazing but the price and the lack of availability are what drove me to buy this lens instead.

Hi Mohamed, i received my epic a couple of days ago, my PL lenses are on their way, but right now, the only lens i have close is the 8-15. I'm having trouble with it. The focus keeps moving all the time, the shutter opens and closes continuously, and this drains the battery pretty damn quick ! Did you have an issue at first installation ? Any advice ?

Yeah, turn off the automatic focus and keep it on manual on the lens and the camera. Problem solved.

Thx for your quick reply Mohamed. It wasn't the switch. Even when i turned off the automatic mode, it was weird. By the way, the interesting feature here is the AUTOFOCUS... i wouldn't give up on that. It's working now. I had to go to maintenance menu and do a new hardware discovering WITHOUT the lens attached (It doesn't work with the lens on). After rebooting, it works like a charm now, all electronic/touch/point/bla bla bla focus features enabled !! I'm excited.

Victor, could you give me the exact steps you used to fix the lens? Love the lens on a DSLR, but on the Epic, the 8-15mm searchs focus and changes aperture continually. Tried the hardware rediscover on the Maintenance menu, with and without the lens off. Lens and camera are both set to manual focus. Build 2.05

Hi Rob.
Try these steps.
1. Detach your Canon mount
2. Attach your PL Mount
3. Hardware rediscover (if you don't have a PL mount, do it nothing attached).
4. Put back your Canon Mount (No lens on it)
5. Hardware rediscover
6. Put your lens on now.

It should work...

No joy. Tried these steps both with PL Mount rediscover, then back to Canon mount - and with no mount rediscover, then back to Canon mount. From reading other threads it seems that some people have trouble with the 8-15mm lens, but others don't - even though they're using the same build.
