Hi guys,

This will probably be a very silly question, but how the heck do you remove the rosette bit of the RED Sliding Top Handle. Is it something to do with the 4 tiny screws in the rosette? Mine are INCREDIBLY tight and basically unscrew able without shearing them. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

If you're mounting the monitor, that whole front piece (including the black metal ring) in front of the mounting bracket comes off. Be warned, mine was put on with locktite or something and took two vice grips to loosen. It also scared the heck out of it, but nothing a little sharpie work wouldn't correct. :D

If you're just taking the alum rosette off, get the proper tool, and use some firm, constant pressure on those four screws. They'll pop loose. But, there is no need to remove those to take the front off. Basically, you're turning the handle around to the "other side," mounting it to reveal the 1/4 20's that are under the handle now.

With a wrench.

Best to use an open-end wrench (IMO vice grips are likely to leave unsightly marks) the whole thing just unscrews.

I Had the same problem, it was insanely difficult to remove but at the end i manage to do it.

May the force be with you!

I actually bolted the swat clamp portion of the handle to my dovetail plate and clamped the dovetail plate to a work bench. I was then free to concentrate on the rosette using a pair of large vice grips. I wrapped the rosette in a dish rag to avoid scratching it.
