Hey there,

Just received my EPIC-X and need some 1/4 20 x 1 Socket Cap Screws for a couple of configurations I'd like to try out but I just can't seem to find anywhere that sells them in the UK. I've tried the usual suspects - B&Q, RS, Screwfix etc.

I've tried with the UK equivalent M6x25mm but the thread is too tight compared to the 1/4 20 x 1 and so they're no good.

Anyone who has found somewhere in the UK that sells these things in quantities of less than 100, I'd appreciate the heads up.

Aren't you Britts the ones who invented the genius Imperial System of Measurement?

Namricks, down here in Brighton (well, Hove technically), will do pretty much anything you want nut and bolt wise, in any quantity.

You can also order online, I think - http://www.namrick.co.uk/

They're super nice guys, too!

Cheers,
Dom.

Indeed, but I expect Red cut their threads UNC which is an American standard. BSW and UNC are interchangeable in practice of course ;)

I recommend these guys: http://www.margnor-online.co.uk/contact They stock far more than their website shows, and sell down to units of one. I've become a regular customer, and still can't believe the number of times I come away from their little store with exactly what I needed for so little money that I felt almost embarrassed as the guy manually wrote out my sales ticket, calculating items in single digit pennies... Good people.
