Hi all,

my scarlet did freeze once in a while wile switching back from normal view to bigg image (for focussing). This evening preparing for a shooting tomorrow,
it did freeze again.

So I had to power it off again. Restarting, the camera booted, but no picture on screen, not recording.

Anybody who had the same issue ?

(Scarlet with Canon Mount - no Side Handle - Canon 24-70)

Did off course switch off, changed lens etc.

No result

Also tried to re-install firmware

No result.

Anybody with the same issues (Red support has a ticket already)

Thanks
Steffen

So the most crazy thing happened ==> I tried until late 4am this morning. Then cancelled my job for today. In the morning after a coffee I tried it again and took the camera out of the box and reassembled the whole thing. just by luck I tried it and :

IT DID WORK ...

No clue why and no clue how. But it work.

Then I tested the whole thing, and found out that the camera shows the behaviour, when the monitor is not attached.

So there must be a cabling problem, maybe in the monitor, there is quite some anlge how you can move it around. Maybe there is a lose cable or so ?

Anybody had similiar issues ? Experience.

Case is open with Red, no feedback until now.

When I was having problems with mine (already sent it in to Red for a different issue than yours), it would occasionally take a VERY long time to boot up - I'm talking 10-15 min+ where it would just sit on the yellow boot light. After it did that once and booted, the next boot cycles would be fine. It definitely happened a few times though. If you let yours sit that long and it didn't boot up before the last time though, not sure.
