Music Video on MTV2

[Jesse Rosten]

Here's the story: No budget, 4 hours to shoot before the band played a concert. Shot on Red. Airing on MTV2 beginning next week.

Nice, I like the retiming of the shots. Did you have a slowed down version of the song? a little BTS would be nice to read about.

We filmed the song several times at 8fps. The song was slowed by down by 3X so the band had to lip sync REALLY slow. It was a little difficult for them at first, and actually a little humorous We also shot several takes at 48fps with the song sped up by 2x. Here's a couple BTS shots. You can see the basic lighting setup here. We shot for a couple hours the day before the concert, and then a couple takes the day of the concert when the band had brought in more stage lighting. For the crowd shots, I ran out on stage with the band during the encore. Almost, got clocked in the camera with the head of a spinning guitar. I really didn't expect this video to go very far considering the limited time and resources we had, but it's cool to see this thing hit broadcast television. I'm really curious to see how it looks when broadcast.

Thanks for watching
