  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Time-Lapse with scarlet

Could some one explain how to set up interval shooting with Scarlet?

Set your frame rates to a lower frame rate while keeping your project at say 23.976. Then let it roll.

I usually do 1 or 2 fps in 5k. But it also depends on what I'm doing and how much time I want to spend shooting. For some shots I want to only spend 10-15 minutes where I'll run a higher frame rate, sometimes around 10, for most I'll run them for about 20 minutes-1 hour at 2-4. To get the rates that low hold down the frame rate and a calculator will pop up and you can enter what frame rate you'd like manually.

Great tip Jeff!

What Jeff describes is the Advanced Menu System.

I've seen most people just use the regular Menu System, but the Advanced Menu give you more controls. Including Tint, WB, and a plethora of other things.

Thanks Jeffrey.
by the way, did you abandon the name O'Harra for your Scarlet?

I did not. Still intact. Although the love for the Scarlet has fallen by the way side a bit. I've lately been more in love with the lenses I've been getting! Not sure and can't explain the experience, just haven't been as happy with the camera itself as of late. Some of the limitations, and issues I've had with the camera operating smoothly have really tainted the overall experience for me.

I do enjoy some of the TL's i've shot though.

Thanks Anthony. Love the work you've been putting out.

Is that where we can get the fps down to 1 or 2?? I cant seem to select less than 8 in the menus....

You need to go into the "advanced" menu by holding your finger down on the frame rate icon. This will bring up a dialog box that allows you to type in the desired frame rate.
