TRYING TO USE REDROCK MICRO FOLLOW FOCUS ON 15MM ET HYRBRID BRIDGEPLATE

Hey Everyone,

Here is my dilemma. I am trying to figure out an affordable/secure/simple way to use my redrock 15mm Light Weight Follow focus on my new 15mm Element technica Hybrid Bridgeplate rail system. The bridge plate is studio spaced and my followfocus is light weight spaced.

Here are my two ideas so far:

1) Buy the wooden camera Easy Riser and light weight bracket with two 6 inch 15mm rods

pros: simple/secure
cons: expensive/practical only for this setup

2) The screw on that attaches the follow focus to the rail support can detach, so maybe i can find a studio spaced 15mm support that the follow focus can screw into:

pros: simplest easiet way/cheaper possibly
cons: don't know of such peice, not sure how big screw is that connects followfocus to 15mm bracket.

You could also consider our omniMount and 4" rails for adapting your V1 to 15mm Studio Setup (or 19mm for that matter).

As long as things are in stock (which the omniMount seems to be) and the order is in before 2PM Central Time, the item will ship same day. Whether or not it gets to you by Friday would then depend on the shipping method you choose.

Why not just lock on with one rod. Use the left or right (depending on what side) and just make the kip really firm.

I had the ver 1 redrock micro follow focus like in photo you posted. I upgraded it with the redrock ver 2 upgrade kit and also larger gear. It really saves time for removal-readjusting to harder to fit situations. I got the omni mount too and it opens up more options.
What money I don't squander on food goes to Red, Redrock Micro, Zacuto, and for scoring on great Leica glass! Purchases have grown to "Epic " proportions!
