Would any one be interested? What would one offer for the 17-50?

What's the right price?

I'm thinking of selling just cause my dp's rent othe glass for my big shoots. And I could use smaller eos mont lenses for my day to day work. Low budget shorts as well

you need to decide what you want for it

I was thinking 5500... I still have box it got cleaned at red less than a year ago etc... but im open to reasonable offers

I would let my zeiss 80, 120, 180 with a case go for about 1000... they are all 2.8 the 120mm needs a bit of work though. all have gears and are pl mount

AFAIK you can get a brand new 17-50 with full warranty directly from RED for $6,000. I like saving $500 as much as the next guy but that doesn't seem like enough of a discount to justify the greater risk inherent in purchasing any used item (no personal offense intended, I don't even know you) - especially a precision item like a Cinema zoom lens.

My guess is that you could get $4,000 for it within an hour or two, heck, I might do that and sell my older 18-50...

In excellent condition you might get $5,000 from the right buyer, particularly if they were able to check the lens out in person (or have it evaluated by a known lens shop/tech).

Just one person's take.

I would let it go for 5000.00, but that is the cheapest I could let it go for... If someone wants to snatch it up... I could take photos etc... Its done some big jobs. Last thing it shot was willie nelson, thats purty big. ha
