Hey All,

After reading this page

and seeing some of the beautiful images these old lenses can make I was thinking of trying so myself to use with my Epic canon mount (or perhaps my 7D or Kiss). Just mostly as a personal experiment more than anything. I have access to all kinds of beautiful old cameras and lenses here in Japan and was wondering about the viability of this and how it is actually done.

If anybody has any experience in remounting lenses, and is interested in collaborating for this kind of "hack" lets start a discussion here :)

I am more or les flat out busy till may, so I am thinking around then to test tis out with a short movie ...

Cheers all

Ivan

Could be fun. You can also get a cheap Canon lens and smear stuff on the front element to get these organic looks, if that's what you are after!
I'm not kidding.

I hacked an old Polaroid Land Camera and slapped it on my Scarlet recently. I had to remove the shutter (ie. rip it out with pliers), but I think the images look sweet! The best way to do this sort of thing is whatever way works :) I literally used cardboard, tape, rubber bands, and a bit of creativity to get this beast working. I've got plans for a bunch of other frankenstein cameras as well. I'll post my results here. I can't wait to see what other Redusers come up with! Cool thread :)
