Or any on-board monitor with hd/sdi loop through.

Thanks!

I was specifically told not to get the smallhd because it's been known to break easily... Is my source a fibber? My camera is mostly used for feature work, mainly on location, so it needs to be ford tough.

not true at all. Skip ahead to 19 minutes and watch. I have a friend who has dropped his plenty of times and it still functions properly. The exterior case is scuffed up but that doesn't matter.

I was told by a rental guy I trust that the battery brackets can be a little flimsy. The monitor itself is considered to be pretty reliable.

Don't get the SmallHD. I had it for a few weeks and couldn't stand the way it displayed in low light. The image quality of the TV Logic, plus the built-in scopes are worth the little bit extra.

Steve,

I'm currently researching for a good, versatile 5.6" monitor. Curious about the low light display problem you had. What was the issue, especially compared to the TVLogic? Also, the TV Logic requires a voltage regulator to step down for use with AB or V-lock bricks, correct? Or did TVLogic address this? And what about the HD-SDI output? Does it now address full 1920x1080 output?
