Hi Red peeps.

So I am being really stupid, I am not using a remote or touch screen, just my trusty DP6 SDI monitor,
The amazing chaps over at red sent me a preset, so I can see my menus on the DP6.

As I cannot see my menus I have to format an SSd on a mac using Fat32, as per instructions form
Red person, alas, I have done so, drooped the preset in , put the card in the camera , and booted [not named yet]
scarlet up, to no avail. monitor has always shown an image but no menu.

I am the only cheap scate here not purchasing a touch screen or red mote, if any one eles here has had experience
with a preset , please let me know how you got on , thanks..

I am thinking maybe I need a redmot !!

thanks in advance

Did you place the preset in a folder named "force_preset"?

Are you running version 2.0.8 or greater?

Thanks Trevor,
No I have the black bars in all modes.
Only time I don`t is when I use the DP6`s magnify mode..
I am not sure why , I had a full screen, before the force-upgrade.
I will post a picture as soon as I get back to the studio.

Maybe you're in 4KHD mode?

Hard to tell without a picture of your screen.

SO here is an image of my DP6 going through SDI
after force-preset
ANd this is latest firmware.
Is this normal, the two black bars.
Sorry picture not great .

Pretty sure that is totally normal, how else would it fit a frame with that aspect ratio in that space with surrounding information/menus above and below?

well I was getting full frame, ie image filled the screen before the force preset, I assumed the menu would over lay that image ?
So this is normal, fair enough .

thanks for your response

The menus do not overlay the image (the controls and dialogs that popup do, of course). The image will be scaled to fit in the space between the top and bottom bars.
