  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Borrowed" shot w/ RED Scarlet-X and Canon Lenses

Finally got a chance to watch this, excellent job Josh! I love the color correction you made her skin look so lovely!
 
I went back today and regraded it using newfound color timing philosophy and REDGamma3…. I'm very pleased with the results. The new grade gives the image much more depth and fixed a banding issue I had in the sky, during one point.

Good job on this. If anything, I would say the bokeh is a bit busy in some of the shots and could be more pleasing. Subjective and a matter of lens choice. Also, a few shots are washed out by the sun and would have been very different with a matte box. Did you guys consider that? I know it's a look but personally I'd prefer clean footage and add flares in post.
 
thanks, I see what you mean. There's one shot where we intended for the sun to blow it out, but the shots of her on the beach probably would have benefited from a mattebox. I appreciate the feedback. This was our first day shooting the Scarlet.
