About to shoot in a church with a fog machine pumping away almost non stop. Any engineers from Red want to chime in what that wonderful fog juice is going to do inside the camera as it is being sucked through by that powerful cooling fan? Am I asking for big trouble for residue on the sensor or damage to other components?
Any shooters out there with any experience with their cameras with fog machines?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

First shoot I had with my camera, we used smoke 80% of the scenes. Not one problem, actors on the other hand.....

Are you using an oil based hazer, like the DF-50? These linger more, for a cinematic "old dust" / "fume" effect--

Or a fogger, which spits out a burst of usually water-based smoke that quickly rises?

Not sure which is worse, but since oil is worse for people, and the camera is designed to withstand relative amounts of humidity, I'm guessing the oil. That being said we've used the DF-50 with Red cameras for years with no problems.

Can I ask all of you what smoke machine or fogger you use? Do you rent them for specific projects or do you guys buy them?
Thanks
