  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red is suffering from a classic case of Projection.
 
Last years Dragon Tattoo was cool as hell... I can only imagine what this party will be like AFTER NAB.

Just yesterday picked up MY SCARLET with Canon Glass and then shot with MY EPIC on Red Pro Primes... the wait seems so so long ago now.

Red Laser Projector is what I have been waiting the longest for though... and of course RED RAY... and I'm so excited about the future of Red and 4K exhibition
 
We will have quite a show for NAB this year. You probably don't want to miss it. Snake oil times ten.

I reckon the close $40K+ I just spent at red.com puts me down as 'on board'.

Anything happening online for the poor sods that can't make it?
 
I'm shooting daily with my Scarlet, and happily slow.
The two factors in buying were a) High resolution & b) RAW files

As long as a RED keep on this path, you'll have one very happy customer right here!

I have chosen. I chose the one that treats me like a fellow human being instead of a faceless number. The one that behaves more like a friend than a profit driven corporation. Sometimes I have to forgive RED for their shortcomings. I can live with that because I know they always have my back. I think I have chosen wisely.

The secret is... we have no idea what we are doing. We are learning as we go. And we are just dumb enough to expose every move we make in front of God and everyone.

We shoot high... really high. 5K at 120fps in a camera the size of a matchbox. Have you seen anyone else tackle this? There is probably good reason. They are not insane. We apparently are. And there is more of this on the way...

So the secret is out. Choose your partner. Choose the one that leads with their chin or choose the others that follow only because they were forced to.

We are not perfect. But we are brave. We believe that everything must get bigger in presentation. And smaller in size. And cheaper. And better.

Oh, yeah, it's true.

And I will always repeat here at the RED User Forum that constantly improving IQ (Image Quality) is the most important thing with any digital cinema system.
 
Am I the only one here that was expecting to see some amazing grabs of the new Dragon sensor?
(14 stops native DR, very clean up to 25.600 ISO, etc)
