Mutually Exclusive?

If I wanted to use the DSMC MODULAR ASSAULT PLATE, is it a requirement that I use DSMC QUICK RELEASE PLATFORM PACK, I'd like to be able to just use the assault plate and throw a tripod plate on that so I can use the accessories I already have (quick releases, etc). The feet and the image of the bottom of the plate makes me assume that these items are mutually exclusive.

Anybody have any other suggestions for a 15mm rod set up that I can use my own quick releases and such if I so decided if the RED one is mutually exclusive with their platform.

You are right about the QR system from Red. Try this link for an alternative. http://woodencamera.com/easy-riser-epic and at the bottom of the page the suggested 15mm bracket.

Does any know the width (from rod center to center) of Assault Plate 15mm adaptor?

I have this mount from F&V for my ring light.

Just wondering if its a standard size.
