faster service if you contact RED customer service for an RMA rather than a user forum

Not if you don't know you should contact RED customer service for an RMA number.
Posting his question on here got him his answer in 9 minutes.
This is exactly what a user forum is for.

Here is the link to the red.com support page, Mohamed.
Fill out the form and someone will contact you to get any additional info before they get you an RMA number and have you send the redmote back in.

Silly boy, if you read this user forum completely you would know who to contact directly if you have a shipping or warranty question. Probably the same person who answered the post.

I had the same exact problem. in the RMA quote they said i might be subject to a 100 dollar fee. That kind of bugged me. Get a faulty redmote out of the gate, then it would cost me an extra 100 bucks to have it replaced or worked on, that was a little upsetting. but i ship mine out today. Hopefully its a free fix. They were super helpful though, free shipping back and said the process is quick.

Dominic, that is standard language in the quote. If it is under warranty and not a condition brought upon user misuse, then you don't get charged anything.

FWIW, the Bugs... subforum description does say "Click here if you found a problem or have a problem; after you have made a RED.com support ticket!" so I am hoping that is everyone's first step.

Brent,

Since I've been on the forum, I've never seen that...but you are right it is there. Just a note, my eyes don't go there. Not sure if you're using "heat map" software to track user interactivity, but I always just scan the right side of the forum to see what is the latest post, click and get distracted for an hour...

Like I've said, until you pointed it out, I never noticed it.

Brent, thanks for clearing that up. Makes sending it in more comforting. Love RED support.
