  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone used a Zolinger jib arm?

I've seen a couple of these listed lately, and they seem attractive; light (13lbs), portable (pack to 25"), strong (25lb capacity). I don't like that they only seem to offer a 75mm bowl (my 1030B has a 100mm ball), and they don't seem to have a local dealer (have to buy from the EU or find a used one). The price new is somewhat high (about $1800), but one sold on eBay tonight for under $650, so I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting it. I'd love to hear if anyone has first-hand experience with one...

Best,
Tim

I have no experience with that jib, but I will say to pay attention to the load capacity of both the jib you get as well as the tripod you mount it to. For example... I regularly use 60 pounds of counter balance on my jib.
