What software, if any, do folks use to upload from the Redstation to computer? Is it drag and drop or do you use something to verify files and card? A friend said his drag and drop experiences on a Red One shoot led to lost footage.

Normally when there isn't a response I take that as the answer to the question so forgive me for bumping this thread. I have a shoot tomorrow and would like to know if drag and drop from Redstation to Macbook Pro is okay. I have Premiere CS5.5 if that helps.

Thanks, Tony. I have a mac!

I think if drag and drop was bad some folks would have chimed in. Unless there is a free utility or it can be done in Premiere I don't have a choice at this point.

I use TeraCopy

I have been using drag and drop for the past two months without a hitch. But I will be picking up a verification program in the near future to be on the safe side.

Thank you, all. Didn't mean to be pushy, just nervous before a shoot.

Don't have my red station yet, but do have a look at carbon copy cloner. Powerful and free.
