Lens support for Red 300mm pro prime

Hi there,

what is the best lens support option for the RPP 300mm?
I'm using it with a Sony F3 and ideally 15mm rods, not 19mm rods.

Both Optitek's & Duclos support for the 300mm are good choices, but there is also the Chrosziel.

I'm using the Zacuto lens support. It works alright. The 300mm RPP isn't that heavy anyway. I want to say it's lighter than the 18mm RPP, but I'll have to double check that. I normally don't attach a support to it unless I know the camera is going to get moved around a lot. Totally trust it on the Ti PL mount.

It looks like the 18mm RPP at 6.45 lbs does indeed weigh more than the 300mm at 5.67 lbs (http://www.red.com/products/lenses). Hmm, that surprises me...

what's the zoom on a 300mm lens? at least 20x? How much wobble is there in the image with supports?

Is there a zoom lens out there in the 40x+ range with a stable image? Any links/recommendations? Much appreciated. I am in the market for a good zoom lens on our epic.

Do you use it with the duclos ring designed for the 300mm.
