This is a very rare set of Cooke Panchros in permanent PL mount housings. These lenses originally came in Arri Standard mount, which in most cases is easily adapted to PL with a simple adapter. However, the Cooke Panchros had a focus mechanism that required the barrel of the lens to spin in the mount to focus. Converting these lenses to PL is no easy task and today only one person makes a PL adapter for these old Cooke Panchros (Les Bosher) and they are $400 and hard to come by. These lenses are Scarlet/Epic ready. No adapters needed :) No scratches, chips, dings, haze, or fungus. Oh yeah, all of them cover 5K on my Scarlet :) I was shocked when the 18mm only showed a very faint vignette in the corners, but still outside the 16X9 frame guide... Amazing! Get that "Cooke Look" for cheap.

18mm (JDC conversion): T2.2-T22, 8" close focus, focus gear, iris gear, very light cleaning marks on front element, rings a little stiff.

25mm (JDC conversion): T2.2-T22, 10" close focus, focus gear, iris gear, very light cleaning marks on front element, smooth rings.

40mm Macro (Samcine conversion): T2.3-22, 12" close focus, focus gear, clean glass, small dust particles inside, smooth rings.

100mm Macro (Samcine conversion): T2.8-22, 21" close focus, focus gear, clean glass, smooth rings. This is the jewel of the bunch!

$9,000 SOLD SOLD SOLD

Oh wow... rehoused s3 panchros... so tempting...

Wish I could afford these. I had the good fortune to buy a lens from Clint recently and you can deal with confidence, folks!

oh man I don't have the money but i want them!

Thanks Harrison :) Many interested people, but still for sale...

Still no takers, so I'm lowering the price to $9,000.

Yes, still available! Lots of interest, but no offers yet. I'm out of town for a bit, but the lenses can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Okay, I guess its ebay time. I thought for sure a Reduser would want this set.

PM sent... Longshot but I might as well...

SOLD!!!

fuck i didnt see this thread before. oh noooooooooooooooooooooo.
i owned a set of these till some MF did steal them.
The old panchros have a very unique look.....
i am still looking for a 75mm for close ups only....this is the most special cooke lens ever.

This is such an ideal set. PL mount, modern rehousing... who needs the 50, you've got the Deakins 40 and a deep field telephoto, hunt down a 75 and you're golden....

I'd trade any gear I own to not have missed this thread. Yeah Timur, congrats to whoever made the best decision of the year...

In the end, I sold them to a Reduser! I must say I was shocked they didn't sell immediately. I think people don't realize how rare the PL mount is and how awesome the 100mm is either :) They are at Duclos now getting some love and I'm sure the buyer is going to be thrilled with results when he gets them. I wish I could have kept them.

ITs funny you mention the Deakins 40mm....

My cooke 18-100 has a marking for 40mm, and deakins has said that the 18-100 varotal is his favorite zoom.... they must have marked it for him. :)
